Chapters are made up of REG members
who relish the opportunity to connect with other teachers in their
district who are alumni of the CSUF Reading Program. Chapters host
meetings and events that are of interest and convenient to the members
of their chapter. Currently Capistrano Unified (four cohorts) and
Newport-Mesa Unified (3 cohorts) have formed chapters. Capistrano
chapter members meet annually at Capo Academy in August and host
a variety of other events throughout the year. The Newport-Mesa
chapter also hosts a variety of events for their members.
Chapter activities may include:
- Guest speaker events
- Poster sessions
- Share fests
- Field trips
- Professional book clubs
- Grants and recognitions
